PHOTOGRAPHY

Hey y'all! I'm Layna, the women behind the camera. I am a self taught, outdoor photographer. Natural light is my jam! I do travel but coming to our ranch is an option as well. Open pastures, creeks, barns and many more options if you are able and willing to come to me!

I'm married to the BEST Cowboy a girl could ask for and we have a beautiful little girl together. We live in Venus, FL on my husbands families ranch. So working  along side my husband on the ranch is my full time job. My photography business is my little side job/HOBBY!  I am incredibly thankful that the good Lord has blessed me with the life I live!

Taking photos has always been a big part of my life! "They are precious memories we are able to look back on and remind us of the amazing life we have, as we never know what tomorrow may bring" That saying right there hit home for me in February 2016, when I was told I needed to have brain surgery to remove a birth mark, attached to my brain stem,  that had burst and caused bleeding on my brain. Given very little chance of survival, my world was flipped upside down to say the least. I was 26 years old, with a husband and at the time our daughter was just 4 years old. We were all in disbelief! I spent, 2.5 months in the hospital, I had to learn how to walk and talk again! But I did it!!!!

 

I tell you a little about my story because all those photos I had taken or had a professional photographer come out and take of my family, are what helped ME THROUGH IT ALL! My husband and mother had brought most of our photos to the hospital to remind me of what and why I needed to keep fighting to get better! For them, for my daughter and for myself! And I did just that. One of hardest years of my life but I dang sure did it!

So when I got home and got my life back, I started taking photos for friends and family and absolutely fell in love with it. So I finally decided to take a leap of faith and start my photography business and I'm so thankful I did! It has been an amazing journey so far and I cant wait to see what the future holds.
